We had our own 'Thunder Road' down in Arkansas. Highway 68 between Springdale and Huntsville. Twenty nine miles of curvy, hilly two lane road that saw  many tragic accidents. Many were on saturday night when a lot of teens were out driving too fast and drinking too much! We also had plenty of 'moonshiners' making white lighting as well as home brew and grapejack.

 I had a nice solid white mildly customized  49 Merc that I would sure like to have back! Here I have created as nearly as possible my Merc . It had lowering blocks on the back and we heated the coil springs on the front to lower it way down.  It had 'full moon' aluminum  'racing disc' hubcaps and  the engine was the old standby flathead v8. I have also photoshopped what it looked like on a warm summer night cruising down old 68 hiway with Judy by my side.
