This is my old "49 Merc with Judy and myself cruising on old highway 68 between Springdale and Huntsville Arkansas. Thanks to Photoshop I have recreated the old road and what it looked like on a foggy summer saturday night. How I would love to have that old Mercury back again! It was mildly customized with aluminum disc hubcaps, tucked and rolled interior and lowered all around. It had the original flathead V8 engine. My nickname back then was romper. The music you are hearing is The 'Ballad of Thunder Road'  sung by Robert Mitchum, and was a popular song in the early 60s' when I had this car. And just like the song, there were a lot of bootleggers then.  As a matter of fact, I had a friend whose dad was a bootlegger in Kingston Araknsas.
